This is the new v1 installer. It does not use VirtualBox. It installs a managed local Dellsuite runtime through Windows Subsystem for Linux 2, repairs the WSL package if Windows has a broken registration, then launches Dellsuite from a normal Desktop shortcut.

Before you install

Use a Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC with virtualization enabled.
Dellsuite needs WSL2. The installer checks the Windows features, enables them when Windows allows it, and tells you if a reboot is required.
The installer includes Microsoft's WSL package repair file, so a normal tester should not need to download or run WSL commands manually.
Have at least 14 GB free disk space.
Expect a Windows SmartScreen warning because this test build is not code-signed yet.

Test build: no license or password gate yet. This version is only proving install, launch, reboot, reinstall, and uninstall behavior.

How to install

Download Dellsuite-Setup-v1.exe.
Double-click the file.
If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway.
Click Yes on the UAC prompt.
Follow the wizard. The biggest step is importing the local Dellsuite runtime.
At the end, leave Launch Dellsuite now checked and click Finish.

First launch can take 10 to 20 minutes on some PCs while Windows prepares WSL and Docker loads the app images. After Dellsuite is ready, your browser opens to http://127.0.0.1:8000.
