For the current Windows installer v1: self-contained WSL2 runtime, no license screen, telemetry enabled.
Current file: Dellsuite-Setup-v1.exe
Installer SHA-256: f224cbcb475e2298ef1c0b4186a004c42678ceea69f36b944ca9900ea54e8333
Size: 2801454201 bytes, about 2.6 GB
Runtime: Windows Subsystem for Linux 2, not VirtualBox
1Before installing
- Use a Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC.
- Make sure the PC has internet for this first test.
- Make sure at least 14 GB of disk space is free.
- If possible, confirm virtualization is enabled in BIOS/UEFI.
- If Windows WSL2 features are off, the installer may enable them and ask for a reboot. After rebooting, run the installer again.
- If Windows has a broken WSL package registration, the installer uses its bundled Microsoft WSL repair package automatically.
This build is not code-signed yet. Windows SmartScreen may warn you. For this test, click More info, then Run anyway.
2Install
- Download
Dellsuite-Setup-v1.exe from the download page.
- Double-click the file.
- Approve the Windows admin/UAC prompt.
- Follow the installer wizard.
- Leave Launch Dellsuite now checked at the end.
The installer imports a local Dellsuite runtime. First launch can take 10 to 20 minutes on some PCs while Windows prepares WSL and Docker loads the app images.
3What should happen
- The installer finishes without an error dialog.
- A Dellsuite shortcut appears on the Desktop and Start Menu.
- The launcher starts the local runtime.
- Your browser opens to
http://127.0.0.1:8000.
- The Dellsuite login page loads.
First launch can take 10 to 20 minutes on some PCs. A slow first launch is normal; an error dialog or a browser page that never loads is not.
4Log in
When the Dellsuite page opens, try these test credentials:
Try this first:
Username: Administrator
Password: Pass@123
If that does not work, try:
Username: demo@dellsuite.net
Password: demo
If neither login works, stop and report the exact message. Do not keep guessing passwords repeatedly.
5Required test checklist
- Install completes without errors.
- First launch opens Dellsuite.
- Login page appears.
- Close the browser, then double-click the Dellsuite shortcut again.
- Restart Windows, then launch Dellsuite again.
- Run the installer a second time and confirm it does not create a duplicate broken app.
- Uninstall from Windows Settings and confirm the shortcut/app entry is removed.
6If something fails
Installer says Windows must restart:
Restart the PC, then run Dellsuite-Setup-v1.exe again. Do not run separate WSL commands unless support asks for them.
Browser says the site cannot be reached:
- Wait 60 seconds and refresh.
- Close the browser and double-click the Dellsuite shortcut again.
- If it still fails, send the logs from
C:\ProgramData\Dellsuite\logs.
What to send back:
- Screenshot of the error or loaded Dellsuite page.
- Windows version from Settings → System → About.
- Anything in
C:\ProgramData\Dellsuite\logs.
- Or run Collect Dellsuite Logs from the Start Menu and send the generated ZIP from
C:\ProgramData\Dellsuite\logs.
- Approximate time you clicked install and launch.
7Monitoring note
This build sends basic progress events back to the Dellsuite VPS while internet is available. It reports install and launch milestones, plus short error details if a step fails.
It does not send passwords, files, business data, license keys, or anything from inside Dellsuite. The events are only for debugging the first install test.
